Naughty but nice!!! Little troublemaker ‘Kuromi’ may look tough, but deep down she’s totally girly

This sassy little bunny escaped the guards of Mary Land and came to the human world to find people with dreams — and turn those dreams into nightmares forever.

Kuromi, the cool little bunny born on Halloween, out to turn human dreams into nightmares

• Look Modeled on a white bunny with long eyelashes and a sweet little face, she wears a black hood with pointy ears and a pink skull on the front. Her signature feature is her ‘tail’ — a devil’s tail instead of a fluffy bunny tail. Her adventure buddy is Baku, a flying tapir.

• Personality Mischievous and tomboyish with a ‘punk spirit,’ always ready for a fight, and she always sees My Melody as her rival. In her free time she loves fortune-telling and writing in her diary. She’s hooked on romance novels, loves horoscope magazines and handsome guys, adores cooking, and her favorite colors are black and pink. Her favorite food is shallots — or fried green onions.

• Key items The Melody Key, or the key to the door of dreams, and a violin bow — every time she plays music, the Melody Key grows more powerful.

• Goal Get revenge on My Melody and find humans with dreams to destroy them, turning those people into wicked monsters. Once she collects all 100 black notes, a terrifying song will be complete and Kuromi will gain dark powers that turn every human dream into something scary — so no one ever has a beautiful dream again.

I’m here to find people with dreams — and plunge the human world into nightmares

My Melody’s rival — they used to be friends, but now she’s Kuromi’s number-one enemy. Kuromi even writes every grudge down in a notebook, listing everything My Melody ever did to her. But My Melody can’t remember a single one, which makes Kuromi even angrier.

Cute every time you look — My Melody, the adorable little pink bunny

This sweet, innocent little bunny was sent by the king of Mary Land to the human world to stop ‘Kuromi.’ My Melody turns nightmares into sweet dreams with her pink Melody Baton.

My Melody draws her power from cuteness — gentle, sweet, harmless to everyone, and she always sees Kuromi as a friend

• Look Modeled on a white bunny with no eyelashes and a sweet little face, she wears a pink bunny-ear hood topped with an adorable bow or flower, along with other bright pastel details — which makes her instantly lovable. She always travels with a pink umbrella.

• Personality Always optimistic, with the personality of an ideal girl — gentle, sweet, sincere and always kind. She loves doing housework, and her hobby is baking cookies.

• Key items The Melody Baton (shaped like a treble clef), the Melody Box and Melody Candy — she uses these three to stop Kuromi’s mischief and protect human dreams.

• Goal Collect pink notes from humans whose dreams come true, turning nightmares into good dreams. She places heart stickers on objects to bring dolls or pictures to life so they can fight what ‘Kuromi’ has created. To power them up, she acts extra cute to coax the kind monsters she made, and once the mission is complete she gives them candy and they return to normal.

I’m here to turn nightmares into good dreams with My Melody Baton

Even though ‘Kuromi’ sees My Melody as her number-one enemy and has written thousands of grudges in her notebook, My Melody can’t remember any of them — because none of it was on purpose and she has never meant Kuromi any harm. That only makes Kuromi angrier, but My Melody still always sees Kuromi as her friend.
